đź’ś Career Well-being: How introverts win executive interviews | Announcement!

Dear Thriving Introvert!

Before we get into today's topic, I want to share a special announcement! 🎉

I’ve been rebuilding my website, working hard behind the scenes, and gathering feedback from previous clients. While my branding refresh isn’t complete, I didn’t want to keep you waiting.

You are the first to know that I’ve simplified how we can work together. 🥳

There are two ways to work with me 1:1. I want to be clear about who each is for, so you can choose the right one (or skip both; it’s okay!).

1 - THE FREE QUIET JOB SEARCH INTRO CALL (15 minutes)

This is a short conversation to see whether working together makes sense. I’ll ask about your situation, and I’ll tell you honestly whether a strategy session would help.

Book it if ALL of these are true:

  • You live in the U.S. or Canada and have no restrictions on being able to work in these countries.
  • You’re actively job searching, or you plan to start within the next few months.
  • You want 1:1 help with your specific situation, not general tips.
  • If it’s a good fit, you’re open to potentially investing in a paid strategy session. No hard pitch here.

The booking form has a few short questions. I read every answer before we talk, so please answer honestly.

2 - THE JOB SEARCH WHILE EMPLOYED STRATEGY SESSION ($300)

This is a confidential 90-minute 1:1 coaching session where we figure out what’s not working in your search and build your plan. You also get personalized action notes afterward (call recording is optional).

It’s built for experienced professionals, especially introverted managers and directors, who want a clear, confidential, easy to follow, and straightforward plan.

NOT READY FOR EITHER?

That’s completely fine. And you’ll keep getting my emails every Thursday.

AND, I also updated two of my free resources. I'm not sharing them on LinkedIn.

Interview Ready Checklist

In this newsletter, I'll cover:

  • How introverted leaders can handle executive interview questions without over-explaining or draining their energy.

During high-stakes interviews, introverted managers and directors often fall into a subtle trap: feeling obligated to explain every detail, operational nuance, and team dynamic to prove their competence.

Because you care deeply about accuracy and context, your natural instinct might be to walk the interviewer through a project's entire step-by-step history. But in executive and leadership interviews, excessive detail can unintentionally obscure your strategic impact.

Hiring managers at the leadership level aren't just listening to what you did—they are evaluating how effectively you synthesize complex information under pressure.

đź’ˇ THE QUIET WIN FOR TODAY

The next time you prepare for an interview, structure your answers using the Context-Action-Enterprise Impact (CAI) framework to keep your narrative sharp and high-level:

  • Micro-Context (15% of your answer): Frame the business problem or challenge in two sentences maximum. Avoid diving into granular background details.
  • Strategic Action (35% of your answer): Focus on your specific leadership role, decision-making logic, and cross-functional steering. Use strong action verbs (e.g., Architected, Governed, Realigned).
  • Enterprise Impact (50% of your answer): End with the tangible outcome. Connect your actions directly to business metrics, efficiency gains, revenue protection, or team growth.

Leading with outcomes, not operational details, protects your energy during back-to-back interview rounds and signals clear executive presence.

Talk next Thursday,

Dear Thriving Introvert! In this newsletter, I'll cover: Networking for Leaders with a 10-minute daily framework (you can build your network whether you are job searching or just connecting) Most career advice treats networking as a full-time content marketing job: “Post every day, share hot takes, and broadcast your every move.” If you’re an introverted manager, director, or executive—especially if you're currently employed—that approach isn't just exhausting. It feels performative and...

Dear Thriving Introvert! In this newsletter, I'll cover: How introverted directors and managers can build strong industry credibility on LinkedIn without writing personal essays, posting daily, or filming video content. If you look at typical career advice online, self-proclaimed "personal branding experts" tell you to post content every morning, share deeply personal stories, and engage in loud self-promotion to get noticed by executive recruiters. For introverted leaders who value...

Dear Thriving Introvert! In this newsletter, I'll cover: How to be strategic with examples and why it matters in your job search "We need you to be more strategic." If you’ve ever received that exact feedback in a performance review, important meeting, or interview debrief, you know how frustrating it can be. It almost never comes with concrete instructions or specific examples of what that actually looks like in practice. You're left sitting at your desk wondering what, exactly, you are...
